Crown Land Pricing Zones - Log Handling
Rent calculation for the use of Crown land for log handling purposes is based on zonal land values. There are currently 11 zones covering the province. The dataset outlines the boundaries for these zones.
Community Well-Being Index
The Community Well-Being (CWB) Index is a method of assessing socio-economic well-being in Canadian communities. Various indicators of socio-economic well-being, including education, labour force activity, income and housing, are derived from Statistics Canada's Census of Population and combined to give each community a well-being "score". These scores are used to compare well-being across First Nations and Inuit communities with well-being in other Canadian communities. Indicator values may be missing for a community because of non-participation in the census, inadequate data quality, or insufficient population size. For more information on the subject, visit https://www.sac-isc.gc.ca/eng/1100100016579.

Borehole
A borehole is a general term for any narrow shaft drilled in the ground, either vertically or horizontally. A borehole may be constructed for many different purposes, including: * extraction of water or fluid (e.g., oil) or gases (e.g., natural gas or methane) * for a geotechnical investigation * for an environmental site assessment * for mineral exploration * as a pilot hole for installing piers or underground utilities This data contains a continuous log of strata for each borehole as well as for geocolumns. A geocolumn is a collection of information from an examination of exposed substrate, such as in a quarry wall or along a roadway passage.
OD0040 Water Well Records
Water well records contain details of the location, construction, and groundwater level of wells drilled on Prince Edward Island.
Water well capture zones
Well capture zones are intended to identify potential areas of risk to aquifers where the release of contaminants could affect the water quality of community wells. The information was compiled as a discreet project under the 'Yukon Water Strategy' and represents a 'snapshot in time' of the Drinking Water Systems. Well capture zones were identified using a combination of buffers, analytical methods, and groundwater flow modelling using the Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc. NCC Rideau Canal Skateway - Ice condition
Rideau Canal Skateway - Ice condition by sectionEach winter, the NCC transforms the historic Rideau Canal into the world’s largest skating rink. The Rideau Canal Skateway winds its way through the heart of the National Capital over a total length of 7.8 km. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rideau Canal in winter becomes a treasure that is the pride of the National Capital and a signature destination. The skating season typically runs from January to early March, but it is weather-dependent. When open, the Skateway is free and accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. When the Skateway is open, ice conditions are monitored by section twice daily, at approximately 8 am and 4 pm.
Oil and Gas Well/Facility Area Permits
Land authorizations for areas on which well or facility activities can occur. This dataset contains spatial data collected on or after October 30, 2006. The spatial data includes approved and post-construction land areas associated with well or facility activities. This dataset is updated nightly.
Oil and Gas Well Surface Hole Location Applications
Applications for the surface location of a well associated with oil and gas activity. This dataset contains point features for proposed applications collected through the BC Energy Regulator's Application Management System (AMS). This dataset is updated nightly
14 Class - Canadian Ecological Domain Classification from Satellite Data
14 Class - Canadian Ecological Domain Classification from Satellite Data. Satellite derived data including 1) topography, 2) landscape productivity based on photosynthetic activity, and 3) land cover were used as inputs to create an environmental regionalization of the over 10 million km2 of Canada’s terrestrial land base. The outcomes of this clustering consists of three main outputs. An initial clustering of 100 classes was generated using a two-stage multivariate classification process. Next, an agglomerative hierarchy using a log-likelihood distance measure was applied to create a 40 and then a 14 class regionalization, aimed to meaningfully group ecologically similar components of Canada's terrestrial landscape. For more information (including a graphical illustration of the cluster hierarchy) and to cite this data please use: Coops, N.C., Wulder, M.A., Iwanicka, D. 2009.
