Source Protection Area Generalized
A source protection area (SPA) is an area of land and water governed by a Source Protection Authority, an agency, person or body. This dataset defines the geographic boundaries where each SPA's terms of reference, assessment reports and source protection plans must be developed. *[SPA]: source protection area
Natural Resource (NR) Areas
The spatial representation for a Natural Resource Area. An NR AREA is an amalgamation of all NR Regions within the supplied boundaries and acts as an administrative area to these regions as established by the Ministry. This dataset supersedes WHSE_ADMIN_BOUNDARIES.NRO_ADM_AREAS_SP
Monthly Fraction of Vegetation Cover of Canada from Medium Resolution Satellite Imagery
FCOVER corresponds to the amount of the ground surface that is covered by vegetation, including the understory, when viewed vertically (from nadir). FCOVER is an indicator of the spatial extent of vegetation independent of land cover class. It is a dimensionless quantity that varies from 0 to 1, and as an intrinsic property of the canopy, is not dependent on satellite observation conditions. This product consists of a national scale coverage (Canada) of monthly maps of FCOVER indicator during a growing season (May-June-July-August-September) at 20m resolution.References:L. Brown, R. Natural Resource (NR) Districts
The spatial representation for a Natural Resource (NR) District, that is an administrative area established by the Ministry, within NR Regions.
Natural Resource (NR) Regions
The spatial representation for a Natural Resource (NR) Region, that is an administrative area established by the Ministry, within NR Areas. These boundaries are designated by the Lieutenant Governor in council and published as regulations which establishes the Ministry's management areas. This dataset supersedes WHSE_ADMIN_BOUNDARIES.FADM_REGION
Built-Up Area
Built-Up Areas are man-made land cover features, ranging from small hamlets at rural cross roads to large cities. This product requires the use of geographic information system (GIS) software.
Mineral claim adjoining parcels - 50k
When the tenure data differs from the actual post locations on the ground, we use adjoining parcels to show that the area has no open ground.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Drinking Water Sources - Source Areas
Polygon features representing the geographical extent of a source area that contributes water to a drinking water system. A drinking water system is any domestic system servicing anything other than a single-family dwelling, as defined in the Drinking Water Protection Act. Source Area is a broad term used to describe any area that could potentially contribute water to the drinking water system; it does not mean that hydrologic analyses have been completed to determine likelihood of connectivity. These source areas most often represent the entire aquifer extent (for ground water systems) or the watershed upstream from the intake (for surface water systems). This is one of three Drinking Water Sources datasets (along with the DWS - Intakes/Wellheads points dataset, and DWS - Protection Zones polygons dataset). Note: these polygons have unique Source Areas IDs used to relate them to the Intakes/Wellhead points.
FADM - BC Timber Sales Area
FADM BCTS AREA SP is a BC Timbers Sales Business Area - an administrative area established by the Ministry (The Forest Act), and establishes the BC Timber Sales Program management Unit
Public Land Recreation Area
The Public Land Recreation Area dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Public Land Recreation Areas in Alberta. A Public Land Recreation Area is an area of recreation land designated under the authority of Section 179 of the Public Lands Administration Regulation under the Public Lands Act. Public Land Recreation Area was formerly known as Forest Recreation Area under the Forest Recreation Regulation under the Forests Act. No changes to the Forest Recreation Area data layer were made when it was migrated to become the Public Land Recreation Area dataset.
