Fish stocking data for recreational purposes
Fish stocking data for recreational fishing purposes. Contains: * stocking data for the past 10 years for species where the purpose of the stocking event was to promote recreational fishing. This is a subset of data from the fish stocking information system. This data can also be obtained through the [Fish ON-Line application](http://www.ontario.ca/fishonline). For information on where stocking occurs for research or rehabilitation purposes, contact a local Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry district office. Manitoba Waterbody Stocking Records
This dataset contains information on fish stockings since 1917 in Manitoba waterbodies with details on date of stocking, amount of fish, size of fish and species of fish.Stocking Data is a point layer representing individual stocking events dating back to 1917. Each record contains information such as waterbody name, fish species, fish size and quantities, as well as the fishing division of the waterbody. Stocking data is updated multiple times per year as the Province of Manitoba Hatchery conducts stocking. The stocking data layer, along with related information, can be found at the Manitoba Lake Information For Anglers app. The project was initiated by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch with funding from the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund. Data is provided by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch, Swan Valley Sport Fishing and Manitoba Watershed Districts. For additional information visit Manitoba Fisheries. The dataset includes the following fields (Alias (Name): Description) Waterbody ID (WATERBODY_ID): Unique identifier for an individual waterbody. Waterbody Name (WATERBODY_NAME): Name of the waterbody that was stocked. Fishing Division (FISHING_DIVISION): Indicates which fishing division the waterbody is located in and where stocking event took place. Year (YEAR): Year of the stocking event. Date (DATE): Date of the stocking event. Species (SPECIES): Species that was stocked. Size (SIZE): Size of the fish that were stocked. Quantity (QUANTITY): Approximate number of fish stocked. Lat (DD) (LAT_DD): Latitudinal coordinates of the stocking event (if recorded, otherwise the representative centroid of the waterbody) in decimal degrees. Long (DD) (LONG_DD): Longitudinal coordinates of the stocking event (if recorded, otherwise the representative centroid of the waterbody) in decimal degrees. Waterbody Lat (WATERBODY_LAT): Latitudinal coordinates of the representative centroid of the waterbody in decimal degrees. Waterbody Long (WATERBODY_LONG): Longitudinal coordinates of the representative centroid of the waterbody in decimal degrees.

RESULTS - Standards Units
Standards Units for an opening represents desired soil conservation limits and stocking outcomes for the defined net area to be reforested. An opening may have one or more standard units. Standards Units may not overlap. Older records may not have standard unit maps available. Stocking standards represent legal silviculture obligations for harvested areas for the defined standard units. Stocking Dashboard - Manitoba Lake Information for Anglers
The stocking dashboard provides interactive access to Manitoba waterbody information. Filters can be combined to narrow down the waterbodies by: fishing division, waterbody name, fish species, and year stocked.The stocking dashboard is an interface that allows for interactively accessing fish stocking information. It allows filtering and searching for information about stocked lakes. Filters are based on the year of stocking, the fish species stocked, and the fishing division in which the stocking took place. All of these filtering abilities can be compounded to allow users to more effectively find and display information that they are interested in. The dashboard uses the stocking map as its primary tool for users which provides a visual of the filtering options applied. Widgets allow for resetting data to home state view, legend for onscreen features, layers to toggle on and off and ability to change base map options. Additionally there are statistics displayed for total fish stocked, fish stocked in past five years, and fish stocked in the years selected. The latter two statistics are dynamic and update depending on the filters used. This dashboard, along with related information, can be found in the Manitoba Lake Information for Anglers application, an interactive tool for anglers to access waterbody information. Standard Oceanographic Sampling Stations (Pacific)
To develop a database of high quality CTD observations at key locations in DFO’s Pacific Region, 22 stations have been selected for sampling as often as possible. Chief Scientists of DFO vessels with CTD equipment on board are asked to acquire a CTD profile at as many of these stations as possible. There may be circumstances that will prevent conducting a CTD cast but the intent is to collect as many as possible such that over time useful time series of CTD profiles will be available at these locations.
Forest Elevation (Ht) Standard Deviation (2022)
This dataset provides wall-to-wall maps of forest structure across Canada's 650 million hectare forested ecosystems for the year 2022, generated at a spatial resolution of 30 m. It is developed within the framework of Canada’s National Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring System (NTEMS). Structure estimates include key attributes such as canopy height, canopy cover, and aboveground biomass, derived using a combination of airborne lidar and Landsat-based spectral composites. Structure models were trained using the - lidar-plot framework - (Wulder et al. 2012), which integrates co-located airborne lidar data and ground plot measurements with Landsat time-series composites (Hermosilla et al. 2016). A Nearest Neighbour imputation approach was applied to estimate structural attributes across the full extent of Canada's forested area. These nationally consistent products are intended to support strategic-level forest monitoring and assessment and are not designed for operational forest management.For further details on the methods, accuracy assessment, and source data, see Matasci et al. Orthoimages of Canada, 1999-2003
This collection is a legacy product that is no longer supported. It may not meet current government standards.This inventory presents chronologically the satellite images acquired, orthorectified and published over time by Natural Resources Canada. It is composed of imagery from the Landsat7 (1999-2003) and RADARSAT-1 (2001-2002) satellites, as well as the CanImage by-product and the control points used to process the images.Landsat7 Orthorectified Imagery: The orthoimage dataset is a complete set of cloud-free (less than 10%) orthoimages covering the Canadian landmass and created with the most accurate control data available at the time of creation.RADARSAT-1 Orthorectified Imagery: The 5 RADARSAT-1 images (processed and distributed by RADARSAT International (RSI) complete the landsat 7 orthoimagery coverage. They are stored as raster data produced from SAR Standard 7 (S7) beam mode with a pixel size of 15 m. They have been produced in accordance with NAD83 (North American Datum of 1983) using the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) projection. RADARSAT-1 orthoimagery were produced with the 1:250 000 Canadian Digital Elevation Data (CDED) and photogrammetric control points generated from the Aerial Survey Data Base (ASDB).CanImage -Landsat7 Orthoimages of Canada,1:50 000: CanImage is a raster image containing information from Landsat7 orthoimages that have been resampled and based on the National Topographic System (NTS) at the 1:50 000 scale in the UTM projection. The product is distributed in datasets in GeoTIFF format. The resolution of this product is 15 metres.Landsat7 Imagery Control Points: the control points were used for the geometric correction of Landsat7 satellite imagery. They can also be used to correct vector data and for simultaneously displaying data from several sources prepared at different scales or resolutions.
Herring Roe Fishery Catch Data
Pacific Herring roe catch data for British Columbia. There are five major stock assessment regions: Haida Gwaii, Prince Rupert District, Central Coast, Strait of Georgia, and West Coast of Vancouver Island; and two minor stock assessment regions: Area 2W and Area 27. Catch that occurred outside of the major and minor stock assessment regions is recorded as ‘other’. Herring roe catch data is maintained in the Herring stock assessment database. The sum of catch is in metric tonnes for a specified time frame, geographical location, and gear type. Due to privacy, catch where less than three parties fished in a given area and time frame cannot be released. In these cases, ‘WP’ will appear in this field.
