Sylvan Lake, Alberta - Boundary (GIS data, polygon features)
All available bathymetry and related information for Sylvan Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.

Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Top of the Lea Park Formation, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the structure top of the Lea Park Formation in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. Bedrock units included in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model are derived from the Geological Framework of Alberta, a regional geological model of the province. The Top of Lea Park Formation, provided by the Geological Framework of Alberta, was clipped to the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model domain for integration into a multi-layer hydrostratigraphic model. This dataset supplements Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Open File Report 2014-10, which includes a full description of the methodology used to produce this grid.
Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Top of the Wapiti Formation, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the structure top of the Wapiti Formation in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. Bedrock units included in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model are derived from the Geological Framework of Alberta, a regional geological model of the province. The Top of Wapiti Formation (or Battle Formation base), provided by the Geological Framework of Alberta, was clipped to the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model domain for integration into a multi-layer hydrostratigraphic model. This dataset supplements Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Open File Report 2014-10, which includes a full description of the methodology used to produce this grid.

Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Top of the Scollard Formation, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the structure top of the Scollard Formation in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. Bedrock units included in the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model are derived from the Geological Framework of Alberta, a regional geological model of the province. The Top of Scollard Formation, provided by the Geological Framework of Alberta, was clipped to the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model domain for integration into a multi-layer hydrostratigraphic model. Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Top of Hydrostratigraphic Unit C1 Within the Neogene-Quaternary Succession, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the structure top of hydrostratigraphic unit (HSU) C1, which contains fine-grained materials underlying coarse-grained sediments of HSU S2 in the Neogene-Quaternary succession of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. This dataset supplements Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Open File Report 2014-10, which includes a full description of steps taken to produce the structure grid.
Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Net-to-Gross Sandstone Distribution for the Paskapoo Formation - Middle Composite Slice, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This grid dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation - Middle Composite Slice of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. The Middle Composite Slice is one of three distinct geological domains identified in the Paskapoo Formation of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model. Characterization of net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation provides information about the geological heterogeneity and potential hydraulic connectivity within the formation for input into a groundwater flow model. Alberta Geological Survey (AGS) Open File Report 2014-10 includes a full description of the process used to produce the net-to-gross sandstone ratio grid.
Sylvan Lake Sub-Basin Hydrostratigraphic Model - Net-to-Gross Sandstone Distribution for the Paskapoo Formation - Lower Composite Slice, Central Alberta (Gridded data, ASCII format)
This grid dataset is part of the three-dimensional (3-D) hydrostratigraphic model of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin in the Edmonton-Calgary Corridor, central Alberta. It represents the net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation - Lower Composite Slice of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin. The Lower Composite Slice is one of three distinct geological domains identified in the Paskapoo Formation of the Sylvan Lake sub-basin model. Characterization of net-to-gross sandstone ratio distribution within the Paskapoo Formation provides information about the geological heterogeneity and potential hydraulic connectivity within the formation for input into a groundwater flow model.
