NCC Urban lands Land designations 2015
In the Capital Urban Lands Plan (2015), Land designations identify the desired uses for federal urban lands in relation to the role they play for the Capital in a given location. Each land designation provides policy direction for an ensemble of sites that serve similar functions. https://ncc-ccn.gc.ca/our-plans/capital-urban-lands-planhttps://ncc-website-2.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/Capital-Urban-Lands-plan.pdf#page=45

NCC National Interest Land Mass (NILM)
The National Interest Land Mass (NILM) comprises a set of lands (mainly-NCC owned) considered essential to the functioning and experience of Canada's Capital. The NILM is the dominant tool guiding federal land management and ownership in support of Capital functions. The NILM was approved by Treasury Board in 1998 and the first update was approved in 2001. The 2020 NILM Update is the second update.
Contaminated Land Directory (GTC)
The GTC System makes it possible to compile information on land files.contaminated by industrial and commercial activities or by spillsaccidental. This is not an exhaustive inventory, but a compilation of cases brought tothe attention of the Ministry. It also includes information on land that isnow rehabilitated. The thematic layers of contaminated land allowlocate each georeferenced intervention site in the Operations Management Assistance System(SAGO) to which at least one contaminated land sheet is associated.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
NCC Ecological Land Mass (ELM)
The Ecological Land Mass (ELM) classification was established through the 2020 National Interest Land Mass (NILM) Update. ELM lands describe ecological corridors that have inherent natural values and that protect Species at Risk (SAR) and their habitats. The classification identifies lands to protect in perpetuity through planning and partnership efforts. ELM was derived from two separate analyses - the Ontario side from the AECOM natural linkages analysis (2012) and the Quebec side from Del Degan, Masse (DDM) ecological corridors analysis (2012). Adjustments were made as appropriate.
Terrain Mapping (TER) Project Boundaries
Terrain Mapping (TER) project boundaries contains (study areas) and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, legends) for terrain inventory, bioterrain and terrain stability mapping projects. TER divides the landscape into units according to surficial materials, landforms and geomorphological processes using the Terrain Classification System for British Columbia. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_PROJECT_BOUNDARIES_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE attribute. Project types include: TEM, TEMNSS, TEMPRE, TEMSEI, TEMSET, TEMTSM, TSM, TSMREC, TSMDET, TIM, TBS, TBT, TIMSOI, TEMWHR, TEMSDM, TEMPRW, NEMPRW, and TEMSEW.
