For example, resources describing hydroelectricity; geothermal, solar, and nuclear sources of energy; water purification and distribution; sewage collection and disposal; electricity and gas distribution; data communication; telecommunication; radio; and communication networks.
BC Transmission Lines
High voltage electrical transmission lines for distributing power throughout the province. Lines were derived from several data sources representing unique inventories: BC Hydro, Private, Independent Power Producers, and Terrain Resource Information Management (TRIM). Voltage information is not currently available on the public version of this dataset as per publication agreement with BC Hydro.
Rural Utilities Alberta Low Pressure Gas Distribution
This dataset is provided by the Ministry of Utilities and Affordability, Rural Utilities Branch, and represents rural low-pressure pipelines (less than 700 kPa) and customer meters in Alberta that are under the jurisdiction of the Gas Distribution Act, including Gas Co-operatives, First Nations, Municipalities and Counties, Private Systems, Apex Utilities Inc., and ATCO Gas Inc. The data is based on the annual submissions of construction as-builts to Rural Utilities, Alberta Affordability and Utilities. The geodatabase contains linear pipeline data features and customer meter point features. The pipeline data features contain: Pipe material. Status. Year built, if known, and the name of the natural gas distributor and general contact information for inquiries and requests. The meter attributes include the type of meter and the contact information for each distributor. The Customer meters features contain: Meter Code. Meter Type. and the name of the natural gas distributor and general contact information for inquiries and requests.

Stations containing prime movers, electric generators, and auxiliary equipment for converting mechanical, chemical into electric energy with an installed capacity of 1 Megawatt or more generated from renewable energy, including biomass, hydroelectric, pumped-storage hydroelectric, geothermal, solar, and wind.Mapping Resources implemented as part of the North American Cooperation on Energy Information (NACEI) between the Department of Energy of the United States of America, the Department of Natural Resources of Canada, and the Ministry of Energy of the United Mexican States.The participating Agencies and Institutions shall not be held liable for improper or incorrect use of the data described and/or contained herein. This Web Map Service depicts the location of clean electricity generating facilities by type of clean energy source and power generation capacity. Clean energy sources shown on the map include biomass, hydro, nuclear, solar, tidal and wind. The data comes from the provinces and territories, other federal departments and clean energy associations in Canada. The service is one of many themes mapped in the web mapping application Map of Clean Energy Resources and Projects (CERP) in Canada.
