This dataset was created to provide a spatial dataset of the school divisions within the province of Manitoba.This polygon layer depicts official boundaries of the Manitoba School Divisions as per Director of Surveys (DoS) plans. Each DoS number can be found in the field "source". Boundaries are approved by both Manitoba Education and the Director of Surveys of Manitoba. Ward boundaries, schools and the following school divisions are not included in this dataset: Funded Independent,  Non-funded Independent,  First Nations,  Institutional schools, and  The Division Scolaire franco-manitobaine. The Town dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Towns in Alberta. Town is a municipality type defined under the authority of the Municipal Government Act. The formation of a Town can occur if a majority of buildings are on parcels of land smaller than 1850 square metres and there is a population of 1000 or more.

This dataset comprises all of the feature classes in the Alberta Provincial Electoral Divisions profiles. This data is derived from the Census of Canada and the National Household Survey from Statistics Canada from 2011 and 2016. This does not constitute an endorsement by Statistics Canada of this product.

The Village dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent Villages in Alberta. Village is a municipality type defined under the authority of the Municipal Government Act. The formation of a Village can occur when a majority of the buildings are on parcels of land smaller than 1850 square meters and there is a population of 300 or more.

The attribute table included in the dataset provides some limited metadata information that is specific to each lake. This includes the: * survey year * survey method * original map scale This dataset should be used for discovery of Bathymetry data. It provides no bathymetric information, but allows users to discover where bathymetry data exists and in what format.
