Territory flooded in 2017 and 2019
Since 1 March 2022, the Special Intervention Zones (ZIS) have been lifted. However, the territory flooded during the exceptional spring floods of 2017 and 2019, as illustrated in Annex 2 adjusted to Decree 814-2019, is considered by the Regulation concerning the provisional implementation of the amendments made by chapter 7 of the laws of 2021 on the management of risks related to floods (Transitional Regulation) as an area comparable to a low-current zone. The Strait of Georgia Ichthyoplankton Survey, 1979-1981
Ichthyoplankton surveys were conducted in the Strait of Georgia (British Columbia) during 1979-1981 to ascertain the onset of fish spawning, and to explore distributional pattern and estimate total biomass of fish species.Oblique tows were made using 0.25m2 Bongos equipped with 351 micron Nitex nets of modified SCOR design. All sampling gear was black to minimize potential avoidance and resulting catch bias. The tow procedure generally followed that established by CALCOFI.This dataset contains a compilation of corrected catches of juvenile fishes, fish eggs and fish larvae by station.
Forestry Resource Roads - 50k
Forest resource roads (FRR) are actively used for accessing forest resources. FRRs are tracked and managed in a road management database. These roads do not represent a complete road network, they should be viewed in conjunction with the Roads -50k - Canvec dataset. Many FRRs are gated with controlled access. There are four categories of roads in the dataset: Forest Resource Roads (act); Forest Resource Access (non-act), Public Access (non-act) and auxiliary roads:- Forest resources road (Act): a road constructed, modified or maintained for the purpose of providing access for forest resources harvesting or management of forest resources that is authorized under subsection 32(1) of the Act, or a road designated as forest resources road under section 73 of the Regulation. These roads were constructed or designated after the Forest Resources Act and Regulation were enacted. - Forest resource access (non-Act): a road constructed, modified or maintained for the purpose of providing access for forest resources harvesting or management of forest resources that is considered a capital investment by the Government of Yukon, Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, Forest Management Branch. These roads were constructed prior to the enactment of the Forest Resources Act. - Public Access (non act): a pre-existing public road. In this road network all Public Access is part of the forest resource access network. - Auxiliary access: a variety of access types that do not conform to the above descriptions and may include: research forest trails, skid trails, heritage trails, trails that access forest resources. Each pixel value corresponds to the difference (anomaly) between the mean “Best-Quality” Max-NDVI of the week specified (e.g. Week 18, 2000-2014) and the “Best-Quality” Max-NDVI of the same week in a specific year (e.g. Week 18, 2015). Max-NDVI anomalies < 0 indicate where weekly Max-NDVI is lower than normal. Anomalies > 0 indicate where weekly Max-NDVI is higher than normal. Anomalies close to 0 indicate where weekly Max-NDVI is similar to normal.
