Oil and Gas Grid Units
This is the Grid Unit portion of the Oil and Gas Land Division System. This is a grid system consisting of three sections, Area, Section and Unit used to describe Yukon Oil and Gas Dispositions, Leases and Licences. Every Grid Section shall be divided into Units.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . BC Transmission Lines
High voltage electrical transmission lines for distributing power throughout the province. Lines were derived from several data sources representing unique inventories: BC Hydro, Private, Independent Power Producers, and Terrain Resource Information Management (TRIM). Voltage information is not currently available on the public version of this dataset as per publication agreement with BC Hydro.
YEC Power substations
Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) Power S ubstations are the locations where electrical power is transformed, generally from high to low voltage. This data was provided by YEC and will be updated when new substations are constructed.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Remote Communities Energy Database
The Remote Communities Energy Database is a public resource that provides pertinent factual information about the generation and use of electricity and other energy sources for all remote communities in Canada. Communities are identified as remote communities if they are not currently connected to the North-American electrical grid nor to the piped natural gas network; and is a permanent or long-term (5 years or more) settlement with at least 10 dwellings. The Remote Communities Energy Database is the only national data source on energy in remote communities that is publically available on one centralized site. The Remote Communities Energy Database allows users to search and conduct analyses of remote communities and their energy context. Users are also able download the data from the Remote Communities Energy Database dataset in CSV (i.e., excel compatible) format. This data is collected from a number of sources including the remote communities themselves, local utilities, provincial and territorial government’s, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), Statistics Canada, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and various other stakeholders.
YEC Power generating stations
Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) Power Generating Stations are the industrial facilities where electrical power is generated. This data was provided by YEC and will be updated when new generating stations are constructed.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . YEC Power distribution lines
YEC Power Distribution Lines depict Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) primary distribution lines. These lines distribute lower voltage electrical power between Power Substations and consumers (e.g. communities, mines). This data was provided by YEC and will be updated when new primary distribution lines are constructed.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . YEC Power lines
Yukon Energy Corporation (YEC) Power Lines distribute electrical power from Power Generating Stations to Power Substations. This data was provided by YEC and will be updated when new power lines are constructed.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Oil and Gas Grid Areas
This is the Grid Area portion of the Oil and Gas Land Division System. This is a grid system consisting of three sections, Area, Section and Unit used to describe Yukon Oil and Gas Dispositions, Leases and Licences. A Grid area shall be bounded on the east and west sides by successive meridians of longitude of the series 124 00' 00", 124 15' 00", 124 30' 00" ,etc. On the north and south sides by parallels of latitude joining the points of intersection of the east and west boundaries with successive parallels of latitude of the series 60 00' 00", 60 10' 00", 60 20' 00", etc. Every grid shall be referred to by the latitude and longitude of the northeast corner of that grid area.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . Electric transmission lines
Geometric and conventional representation of electrical transmission lines for planning purposes.Geospatial data from power lines represents only the core infrastructure and is structured according to the following layers of information:- CARTO-SER-ELECTRICITY: A concrete base on which a structure used to support high-voltage electrical cables is based.- Carto-Ser-Ele-Tel-Aerien: suspended electrical cable. Symbolic representation, from center pylon to center pylon. These elements form part of the layers in the digital cartographic compilation.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
Oil and Gas Grid Sections
This is the Grid Section portion of the Oil and Gas Land Division System. This is a grid system consisting of three sections, Area, Section and Unit used to describe Yukon Oil and Gas Dispositions, Leases and Licences. Every Grid Area shall be divided into sections. Grid Areas between 60 degrees and 68 degrees north shall be divided at intervals of 1/8 between the east and west boundaries. Grid Areas between 68 degrees and 70 degrees north shall be divided at intervals of 1/6. The north/south boundaries shall be divided at intervals of 1/10. Each section shall be numbered. Numbering starts with 1 in the southeast corner and moves north along the east edge to 10. The second row is numbered starting in the south again with 11 and goes north to 20. All other rows are number successively in the same manner.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) .
