HIGHWAY OFFICIAL
HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL provides the LRS based geospatial information of Provincial and National Highways System in Saskatchewan. It is one of the base layer used to create "Roadseg" layer for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). This data layer has been created for mainly MHI data users, that require relatively up-to-date and accurate description of all Highways in the Province of Saskatchewan.HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL consists of provincial and national highways system in Saskatchewan maintained by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI). This data layer is based on the Linear Reference System (LRS) concepts. KM_FROM and KM_TO fields store the start point and the end point at Kilometer information of the line segment. Unique Identifiers (RoadName & NID) are associated with each line segment. The "RoadName" field carry the unique highway name for each line segment in a control section. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. HIGHWAY_OFFICIAL data layer serves as a foundation for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR, SGI-iHaul and other applications.
Ontario Road Network: Road Net Element
The ORN is a provincewide geographic database of over 250,000 kilometres of municipal roads, provincial highways, and resource and recreational roads. The ORN is the authoritative source of roads data for the Government of Ontario. Road names in the ORN are the official names provided by the authoritative jurisdiction for each road segment, such as a municipality or the Ontario Government. The list of authoritative sources used for the ORN is in the “Ontario Road Network - List of Partners” document in the Supporting Files section below. You can also find the authoritative jurisdiction for a specific road feature in the Jurisdiction table in ORN Road Net Element. ORN Road Net Element requires an advanced knowledge of GIS including LRS and complex table relationships. This dataset contains the following related tables: * official street name * alternate street name * address information * road classification * number of lanes * road surface * speed limit * structure * toll point * blocked passage * route name * route number * jurisdiction * source * underpass * junction
RURALROAD OFFICIAL
RURALROAD_OFFICIAL provides the geospatial information of rural municipal road network in the Province of Saskatchewan. It is one of the base layer used to create "Roadseg" layer for Saskatchewan Upgraded Road Network (SURN) and National Road Network (NRN). This data layer contains relatively up-to-date and accurate description of all RM roads in the provinceRURALROAD_OFFICIAL consists of Rural Municipal (RM) road system in Saskatchewan. RM road system is based on the Dominion Lands Survey. Original geometry of this layer is derived from National Road Network data layer. Rural Municipalities are the responsible of the correctness and currentness of the day and Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure (MHI) maintained this data layer/table according to the NRN standards. This data layer is based on the Linear Reference System (LRS) concepts. KM_FROM and KM_TO fields store the start point and the end point at Kilometer information of the line segment. Unique Identifiers NID) is associated with each line segment. The "DESRD_PPID" is the combination of RM Number, Project Number and Road Type (224-201-10). RURALROAD_ID auto generated unique ID for each rural road segment. "NID" National Identifier is used to manage the updates between data producer and data users. RURALROAD_OFFICIAL data layer is one of the important data table for SURN, NRN, SASK911, CAR and other applications.

Maritimes Region Fisheries Atlas: Catch Weight Landings Mapping (2014–2018)
These datasets show commercial fisheries catch weight landings of directed fisheries and bycatch from the Scotian Shelf, the Bay of Fundy, and Georges Bank from NAFO Divisions 4VWX and the Canadian portions of 5Y and 5Z. Atlantic Canadian inter-regional maps of four species (Atlantic Halibut, Bluefin Tuna, Redfish and Scallop) are also included from NAFO Divisions 4RST, 3KLMNOP, and 2GHJ. Five-year composite maps (2014–2018) that aggregate catches for each map series are publicly available. The maps aggregate catch weight (kg) per 10 km2 hexagon grid cell for selected species, species groupings and gear types to identify important fishing areas. These maps may be used for decision making in coastal and oceans management, including marine spatial planning, environmental emergency response operations and protocols, Marine Stewardship Council certification processes, marine protected area networks, and ecological risk assessment. These datasets have been filtered to comply with the Government of Canada's privacy policy. Privacy assessments were conducted to identify NAFO unit areas containing data with less than five vessel IDs, licence IDs or fisher IDs. If this threshold was not met, catch weight locations were withheld from these unit areas to protect the identity or activity of individual vessels or companies.Maps were created for the following species, species groupings and gear types:1. Coal Agreements
Coal Agreement feature class contains provincial extent polygon features representing Coal applications, agreements, leases, and licences, with varying term dates and conditions. These applications and subsequent agreements give the holder the right to explore Coal.
Trapping Concessions - 250k
Registered Trapping Concessions (RTCs) are legal boundaries that define an area where the holder of the concession has the exclusive right to trap furbearing animals. Because trapping is done primarily along waterways, RTCs are often defined by watersheds, using height of land (ridges and mountain peaks) as their boundaries. This is the opposite of GMAs which are defined by mountains. Sometimes RTCs are grouped together to form a Group Trapping Concession (in which groups of individual share the right to trap). This may or may not involve the elimination of the component RTC boundaries. The Yukon has 360 RTCs and 13 Group Trapping Concessions. Only Kluane National Park, Kluane Wildlife Sanctuary, and Ddhaw Ghro Habitat Protection are are not covered by RTCs. This data was built using the 1:250,000 National Topographic Data Base (NTDB) as the digitizing base.Distributed from [GeoYukon](https://yukon.ca/geoyukon) by the [Government of Yukon](https://yukon.ca/maps) . ATS v4.1 Polygons - Legal Subdivision (LSD) with Road Allowance
Compiled by Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP), on behalf of the Government of Alberta, the ATS v4.1 Polygons - Legal Subdivision (LSD) with Road Allowance layer contains polygons that represent the location of LSD and adjacent Road Allowance Segment polygons, derived from the Master Alberta Township System points file published as ATS Version 4.1, dated March 31, 2005, and clipped to an updated Alberta Data Partnerships Ltd. (ADP) created version of the Alberta provincial boundary. Legal Subdivisions and adjacent road allowance segment polygons are new data that were not available for publication at the inception of ATS Version 4.1.
Labour Force Distribution (LFD) for Natural Resource Sectors in Canada
The Labour Force Distribution (LFD) maps are derived from the CanEcumene 2.0 Geodatabase using custom tabulations of census-based labour force data. These LFD maps were calculated for each of the five major natural resource sectors in Canada: Forestry, Fisheries, Agriculture, Minerals, and Petroleum and Coal. The measure used is the labour force of each sector as a proportion of the goods-producing sectors in the economy. Labour force proportions were first calculated at the individual community level, and then interpolated on a regional level using GIS (see Eddy et. al. 2020 for more detail). In effect, these maps show the strong importance of Canada’s natural resource sectors in various regions of the country. The darker the tone in each map indicates a region’s higher degree of dependency on a given sector for their economic livelihood.
