This dataset delineates areas for which registration is granted to one or more licensed trappers for the trapping of fur bearing animals under the BC Wildlife Act. Traplines are designated by a regional manager of the recreational fisheries and wildlife programs. The Wildlife Act regulates who may set a trap for, hunt, kill, take or capture a fur bearing animal within a trapline.

Wildlife Management Units are used for a number of wildlife management purposes, like indicating the areas of Ontario where hunting open seasons and harvest quotas apply. TA_WILDLIFE_MGMT_AREAS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of the areas under the administration and control of the Conservation Lands Program of the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development and designated as Wildlife Management Areas under the Wildlife Act due to the significance of their wildlife/fish values. In Corporate Spatial Warehouse (CSW) data is split out into spatial views by Act under which orders are authorized. The tables are comprehensive and include both active and expired orders. Spatial views show only the active data.In this table and spatial views, Regulations by Order in Council (OIC) are spatially represented to provide clarity regarding Yukon lands withdrawn from disposal. Spatial data is viewed by the Act under which the order is authorized. Not all orders are for withdrawal, different levels of withdrawal are common and not detailed in GIS attributes. Crown Conservation Easements in Saskatchewan administered by Fish, Wildlife & Lands Branch of the Ministry of Environment.This dataset represents all Crown Conservation Easements registered with the Ministry of Environment. Section 11.4 of the Conservation Easements Act gives specific directions with respect to interests on title and registration of a CCE. To be in effect a copy of an executed CCE must be provided to the Ministry. Receipt of this document is recorded in this Fish, Wildlife and Lands Branch database and an Agreement number is assigned sequentially. An interest, based on the CCE, must also be registered with Information Services Corporation (ISC). Currently these two datasets are not reconciled. Technical Details: Crown Conservation Easements are meant to protect wildlife habitat and ecological values on private titled lands in the Province. Crown Conservation Easements are registered as a condition of sale, on all Crown Wildlife Habitat Protection Act lands that are assessed as having Moderate ecological values. A CCE is registered to a numbered parcel. It is this parcel identification that is reflected in this spatial dataset. The Agreement Number is included which identifies the filing number under which detailed information can be found in digital and hardcopy within the Fish, Wildlife & Lands Branch of the Ministry of Environment.
