The Wildlife Management Unit Biologist Contact Boundaries dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Wildlife Management Unit Biologist Contact Boundaries within the Province of Alberta. The dataset is to help determine which Biologist is responsible for each Wildlife Management Unit. Please refer to the metadata included with the data for full entity attribute information.

HAs are contiguous (land area is geographically adjacent) and fit within an existing geographical hierarchy, e.g., cannot violate lower-level geography boundaries such as the Health Service Delivery Areas (HSDA) and Local Health Area (LHA).

Rent calculation for the use of Crown land for log handling purposes is based on zonal land values. There are currently 11 zones covering the province. The dataset outlines the boundaries for these zones.

Soil Survey Project Boundaries (soil mapping study areas) contains the soil survey project area and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., soil survey reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, scanned maps, legends). Soil Mapping divides the landscape into units according to soil association, name, type, drainage, parent material, and texture. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_PROJECT_BOUNDARIES_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE attribute. Project types include: SOIL, TIMSOI, and SOILSW. Represents the gross area boundary within which Saskatchewan Crown resource lands are designated as provincial forests.For the entire Canwood, Nisbet, Fort a la Corne, Torch River, and Porcupine Provincial Forests, and the southern portion of the Northern Provincial Forest, boundaries follow the textual descriptions found in The Forest Resources Management Regulations, F-19.1 Reg 1, amended June 2020. For the northern, eastern and western portions of the Northern Provincial Forest, boundaries were sourced from the SaskGIS Provincial Boundary data set (ADMINISTRATIVE.provincial_boundary) produced by Information Services Corporation. This data set depicts the provincial boundary of the province of Saskatchewan as reflected in the respective jurisdictional boundary acts, and is kept current on a monthly basis. The version used here has an effective date of 31 May 2020. Crown resource lands contained within these boundaries are designated as provincial forest. Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping (TEM) project boundaries contains (study areas) and attributes describing each project (project level metadata), plus links to the locations of other data associated with the project (e.g., reports, polygon datasets, plotfiles, field data, legends).TEM divides the landscape into units according to a variety of ecological features including climate, physiography, surficial material, bedrock geology, soils and vegetation. This layer is derived from the STE_TEI_PROJECT_BOUNDARIES_SP layer by filtering on the PROJECT_TYPE attribute. Project Types include: TEM, NEM, TEMNSS, NEMNSS, TEMPRE, NEMPRE, TEMSEI, TEMSET, TEMTSM, TEMWHR, TEMSDM, TEMPRW, NEMPRW, and TEMSEW.
